Giessen-Druck:

"GWS moved a KBA216 from Sweden to Germany in record time.

A clear thrust in productivity for more growth

So that optimal working conditions could be provided for the future, the management of the central Hessen based Druck- und Verlagsgesellschaft mbH (Printing and Publishing Company) made the decision to extend the existing rotary press hall in Fernwald-Steinbach. This has resulted in a production plant that is fitted with the most up-to-date equipment thus providing a guarantee of flexibility and an optimum flow of goods. The goal set by Giessen-Druck is to produce all its orders as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. The newly installed KBA Compacta 216 (16 pages of DIN A4) forms a part of this strategy. This is what brought GWS and Giessen-Druck together. Within four months of starting negotiations for purchasing a KBA 216, the project team had this high-volume heatset press installed and operational at our printing plant. 'We learned afterwards that GWS had had to dismantle the printing machine in a large printing plant in Sweden. As the result of a merger and reorganisation, neither the printing plant nor the press were required any longer. The machine was dismantled in record time, it was cleaned in the Netherlands, thoroughly checked and serviced and finally installed at our printing plant. The speed with which this whole operation was carried out made a great impression on us. If you can come up with this kind of tour de force then it means you have an excellent knowledge of the market and a good network of contacts. And for us, this meant that we were able to make a timely response to new business opportunities. We are glad to have the privilege of working together with a partner such as this.'
